Basic Policy on Sustainability

Contributing to a Society Where People Can Truly Enjoy Fulfilling Lives
through Value Creation in Everyday Life

Since our founding—long before the term “sustainability” became widely recognized—IPS has upheld the principle of OPEN DOOR,
boldly taking on the challenges posed by entrenched business customs across various industries in both Japan and the Philippines.
Through our work, we have continued to open new doors toward a better society.

Today, as the world faces growing concerns such as poverty, resource depletion, climate change, and human rights issues,
we believe that advancing our businesses grounded in the OPEN DOOR philosophy is
not only our social responsibility but also our very purpose.

By promoting initiatives that contribute to sustainability and continuously enhancing our corporate value,
IPS delivers benefits to all stakeholders—including employees, shareholders, customers, and business partners.

Through services that improve access to information and support human health,
we remain committed to solving social challenges and contributing to the development of a more sustainable society.

Social Issues Addressed by IPS

IPS operates businesses in both Japan and the Philippines. In Japan, as a registered telecommunications carrier, we provide communication services focused on voice transmission. In the Philippines, we are engaged in telecommunications businesses such as the provision and installation of international bandwidth and fiber-optic networks, as well as medical and healthcare services.
Through these businesses, we aim to create value in everyday areas, contribute to solving social issues, and support the sustainable development of society.

Improving Quality of Life

In the Philippines, IPS is committed to building resilient infrastructure by expanding fiber-optic networks, developing inter-island submarine cable systems, and promoting 5G communication services.
In urban areas, these efforts aim to maintain essential city functions even in the face of disasters or accidents.
In rural regions, we work to close the digital divide between remote communities and urban centers.
By improving access to information in both urban and rural areas, we strive to enhance the quality of life for all.

Promoting Fair Market Competition

IPS aims to promote fair market competition by improving regional telecommunications infrastructure and expanding service options.
Through the provision of international bandwidth connecting the Philippines with Singapore, Hong Kong, and the United States, we strengthen partnerships with telecom operators in each country and engage in collaboration to enhance connectivity across the region.

Promoting Health Awareness and Preventive Care

By providing affordable medical and healthcare services incorporating Japanese-quality technologies,
we aim to improve access to healthcare in the Philippines and promote greater health awareness and preventive care among local communities.
These efforts also contribute to the prevention of lifestyle-related diseases.

Governance

Basic Approach

At IPS, we consider corporate governance a key priority in enhancing corporate value and maximizing shareholder returns.
We are committed to ensuring compliance through increased management transparency, stronger oversight functions, and faster decision-making.
Our governance structure includes the General Meeting of Shareholders, the Board of Directors, the Audit and Supervisory Board, and an external accounting auditor.
In addition, we have established an Internal Audit Office to provide ongoing operational oversight.
We believe that the close coordination of these bodies ensures sound, efficient, and transparent management, and we have adopted this structure accordingly.
